For those who did not know, I are learning to talks and writes.
To this end, my major at Ashford is in Communications Studies. Of the possible media available for us to communicate with each other, an assignment this week has us exploring a few of those media, and commenting on them in light of the changes to our communication environment over the last few years, and for the foreseeable future.
Therefore, my next few posts will do just that: explore and summarize my perceptions of television, product placement in video games, social networking Websites, and electronic readers for e-books.
Please: If you have any comments on whether I am right, wrong, or obviously from another planet, feel free to add your thoughts so we might share some thinking together.
Enjoy, Q
This is Q's first venture into the blogosphere. I hope it doesn't hurt.
Cuckoo Subtitle
"So what is this blog about? It began as a simple assignment; as a novel venue within which my perceptions on the process of learning could be shared. Since its humble beginnings, it has become a chronicle of both my (intended) path toward becoming a competent blogger, and some observations on the differences between ‘our’ reality, and the virtual ones made possible by the Internet and computers, in all their varied and continually expanding (or more accurately, shrinking) forms. These technologies have – for better or worse – changed nearly every facet of our lives, and have come to exemplify the generational gap between those who grew up with the Internet, and those (like me) who are having to adjust to communication online: something formerly accomplished through lower-tech means such as face-to-face interaction, or thoughts imparted on a page. All are invited to come along for the ride, and add your own perspectives on this journey. . . . And for those who might wonder: Yes, those are indeed cuckoos."
Q, Q, Q - I think you're doing well with this page. The title goes very well with the background (and the content put on the page, thus far). Thank you for being the guinea pig with the ads on the side - I was wondering if anyone was going to do that! I like how your posts start with "Q's View...", as that again ties nicely with the purpose of the page. I think your humor knows no bounds and your sarcasm goes even further. I'm impressed with the page.
ReplyDeleteAs with most everything in my life, it is, and will remain, a work in progress. Thanks for the props, though repeating my name like that could prove dangerous this time of year; someone might mistake you for a dove with a peach imspediment.

Mark,
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!! I like the way your page is set up!!
I like the background color and the blue color you have selected for the text. Being that blue is my favorite color, I say don't change it.
As for your content on the left and side of the blog, it is very informative and keeps your page looking 'active' you know what I mean.
I need you to tell me how to add more graphics to my page.
Over all, good layout, great information, not too wordy, although at times we know you can be. lol!
Keep up the good work because I'm going along for the ride.
Oh and thanks for the typo correction on my page, I had not seen it. :(
